RAPID PROTOTYPING AND MANUFACTURING:
Making the New Technologies Payoff for You
The 5th Annual Eugene C. Gwaltney Manufacturing Symposium

October 7-8, 1998

Exhibition Attendees and Contact Time: Exhibits will be officially open for a total of eight and one-half hours over two days, October 7 and 8. Seven hours are during breaks between Symposium presentations and one and one-half hours are during a first-class reception on the evening of Wednesday, October 7—the food is really good! Last year, many exhibitors made their best contacts during Symposium presentations—additional time for in-depth conversations. Exhibit attendees will include the one hundred or so Symposium participants, some faculty, a few students, and several local manufacturers attending as guests.

Attracting Your Key Customers: We would like to work with you to attract your key customers and prospects. We can help by supplying brochures and cover letters for first-class mailing and by following up with phone calls. We’ll take whatever approach you prefer.

Guidelines for Exhibitors: We will provide each exhibitor with a company sign, one 6' x 3' table and two comfortable chairs in an area 10' wide and 8' deep. If you need more space or furniture, we'll try to accommodate you. We may also be able to help you (at no extra cost) with accessories like easels and power cords, but those supplies are very limited. Please let us know exactly what you'll need—especially power requirements—so we can be sure to make your experience here pleasant and trouble-free.

Exhibit Space Locations: Exhibit booth locations are not identical. Some are closer to the auditorium, others are more visible to high-traffic areas. Booth assignments will be made on a first-come basis. We'll discuss your needs and will do our best to accommodate you. (Some locations make use of 8' high booths difficult—let us know how tall your booth is.)

Fees for Exhibitors: The exhibitor fee is $795. It is intended to help cover the cost of the exhibition furniture, the reception, as well as meals for the exhibitors. If exhibitors wish to attend the symposium presentations, they are invited to register at the regular rate of $395.

Exhibit Timing: All exhibits must be set up and ready to go by 8:00 am on Wednesday, October 7. We will provide access to the exhibit area on Tuesday afternoon, October 6, from Noon-5:00 pm. Exhibits must be removed by 5:00 pm Thursday, October 8. We will help you temporarily store dismantled exhibit equipment through the rest of the week. Let us know if we can help by receiving equipment before the exhibition or coordinating shipment afterwards. Our shipping address is: Manufacturing Research Center, 813 Ferst Drive, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA 30332-0406. (Yes, it's Ferst.)

* WHAT WE NEED FROM EXHIBITORS: 1) Your preferences for our interaction with the people on your contact list, 2) The name of the person in charge of the exhibit, 3) the names of all people staffing the exhibit, 4) a description your of exhibit for advance publicity, 5) a list of your exhibit requirements: power, furniture, an estimate of the space you'll require, any special receiving, storage, or shipping requirements, and 6) a check for $795 payable to the Georgia Institute of Technology due ten days after reserving your space to hold your reservation. Please reference your check with our symposium identification number: MFG-115. Use this mailing address:
