Assessing RP/RT Usefulness in Product Development & the RT Survey

Brief Project Description:
 

  • The aspiration of this project is to realize the full value of prototypes in product design projects and to quantify their value in terms of benefits divided by costs.
  • This understanding will be used to develop a prototyping selection aid that will help answer frequently asked questions concerning RPM.
  • This project will be conducted with the close cooperation of at least two RPMI member companies.
  • This project will also be an integrating project in the RPMI as it will involve the study of RP and RT technologies, capabilities, and their usefulness in design projects.
