Distributed Computing Environment

Brief Project Description:
 

  • The aim in this research study is to develop the distributed computing environment that enables the RTTB to function across the Web, which is required by the NSF Initiative to support distributed design and fabrication.
  • This project includes making it possible for individuals to search for materials and processes on the Web, for collaboration amongst manufacturers and tool makers, and for remote operation of mold-filling simulations and mold design optimization runs.
  • Key technologies that will be developed by this mission:
    1. Foundations, Shared Event Formats, and Objects.
    2. Distributed Architecture Managers
    3. Distributed Optimization and Fabrication Architectures.
