| In the Applications area, we group together rapid tooling, metrology, and machining projects. Rapid tooling was the first focus area for the RPMI and continues to generate considerable interest in industry. Our projects this year include fundamental studies of molding and material behavior in rapid tools made in SL and tooling board.
