The Rapid Prototyping Laboratory at Virginia Tech, one of the very few educational institutions in this country to offer an RP course.

The University of Hong Kong.

Delcam International headquartered in Birmingham, England is a partner in the Computer Aided Rapid Prototyping (CARP) research project. 

University of Connecticut at Storrs is involved in the development of the Selective Area Laser Deposition process.

CAM-LEM, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio is developing a process called Computer Aided Manufacturing of Laminated Engineering Materials.

Centre for Rapid Design and Manufacture at the Buckinghamshire College in Buckinghamshire, England.

Royal Institute of Technology does SLS oriented research in Stockholm, Sweden.

Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.

The Technology Applications Center at Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Kalamazoo, Michigan provides training on a Stratasys FDM1600 machine.

Alberta Research Council uses RP models for investment casting .

The Manufacturing Technology Laboratory at General Electric Research and Development is on the leading edge of Rapid Prototyping Techonology.

Kwang Ju Institute of Science and Technology does SLS oriented research in Korea.

Knowledge Aided Engineering Manufacturing and Related Technologies (KAEMART) Group at the University of Parma, Italy does research involving direct slicing for SLA.

The CAD/CAM Laboratory at the University of Michigan does reseach involving Layered Manufacturing and is equipped with Stratasys FDM equipment.
